Why Hire a Wedding Coordinator?

My wedding was during one of the most busiest times of the year! We chose Christmas weekend to get married. Our food would not have been delivered on time had Khisha and her team not been on top of our delivery timeline. Our catering company had so many events that our food was almost delivered to the wrong venue. The time line she created for our wedding kept everything running smoothly.

We gave them some pictures of what we wanted and they actually surprised us and added a few extra elements that made the decor look even more elegant than we expected. Our Process

Pre Ceremony
  • Facilitate on time arrival of all vendors and instruct them where to set up
  • Set up gift box, guest book arrangement, unity candles, memorial of those passed, along with send off items
  • Give photographer & videographer a tour of grounds
  • Communicate all last minute details to wedding party
  • Coordinate all cleanup expectations with all vendors
Ceremony
  • Line-up wedding party and family members for the processional
  • Cue ceremony musicians/DJ when wedding party is ready
  • Handle all emergencies as they arise
  • Transport wedding items from wedding ceremony to reception venue and store any items not
    needed at the reception venue
  • For outdoor ceremony ensure all lighting is operable

 

Pre Reception
  • Ensure cocktail hour and reception décor is set-up
  • Place chargers, menu cards, table numbers, and cake cutting utensils
  • Confirm timing and logistics with Band, DJ or designated emcee
  • Evaluate final set-up prior to guests arrival
Reception
  • Arrange wedding party and family in order for introductions
  • Ensure caterer is on schedule and knows when to start serving the meal
  • Collect gifts and personal décor’ and ensure they reach the designated person
  • Coordinate departure transportation and formal send-off
  • Partner with venue on any additional loose ends prior to your departure
